Following its debut in 2010, the GMC Terrain hasn’t received an update in the looks department until now! The already bold and ruggedly styled compact SUV has finally gotten a makeover, which builds off of its previous design language and gives the SUV even more character.
Compare the new look to the old and you’ll quickly spot the revised front fascia, which now features C-shaped lower chrome trim. The grille also gets nice looking tri-segment chrome accents on all but the base model. Terrain’s rear fascia has been revised as well and there are new 18- and 19-inch aluminum wheel designs. The 18 inchers are featured on non-Denali models and Denali gets the slightly larger wheels.
The Car Connection calls the 2016 GMC Terrain “a standout in the crossover world thanks to its crisply creased fenders. It's not as reserved or simply drawn as the Ford Edge or Honda CR-V--it's all blocky and masculine, with a nod to HUMMER tossed into every corner.”

On the interior, the 2016 Terrain sports a new center stack design with updated graphics on the interface and a new storage shelf where you can stow personal items. Premium cloth fabric has been added to the seats on the Terrain SL and SLE, while the SLT is newly available with Saddle Up leather and a front passenger eight-way power-adjustable seat, which was formerly only offered on Denali. In addition, SLE and SLT are now available with rear cross-traffic alert and side blind-zone alert, safety technologies that were once only an option on Denali, too.

You should also know that the 2016 GMC Terrain will have a revised trim lineup, which is as follows: SL, SLE (SLE-1 and SLE-2), SLT and Denali. The SLT is no longer divided into sub-trims like the SLE; instead it gets more options for the new model year. OnStar with 4G LTE connectivity and built-in Wi-Fi is still offered with a three-month/3GB data trial.
Look out for the new 2016 Terrain when it goes on sale at Van Buick GMC this fall!
