Recently, in collaboration with GM Defense, GMC hosted a special event where U.S. military veterans got to experience the Hummer EV firsthand.

Since its launch in 2022, the Hummer EV has stood out in the electric vehicle market, offering an impressive driving range of nearly 400 miles on a full charge. The Hummer EV SUV shares the pickup's charm. It handles off-road conditions just as well and is surprisingly quick for its size. Like the truck, the SUV version has advanced safety and technology features and an estimated range of over 300 miles.
Veterans Test Drive the Hummer EV
Over 30 veterans were recently invited to test drive the Hummer EV pickup and SUV at a special event. The event featured Warrior Rising, a nonprofit organization that supports U.S. military veterans through financial aid, mentorship, and business partnerships. Warrior Rising members and leaders gathered at the Milford Proving Grounds, where they put the Hummer EV through its paces on both paved and off-road tracks.
In addition to experiencing the Hummer's capabilities and features, veterans were introduced to unique offerings like the Watts to Freedom driving mode, which launches the vehicles from 0-60 MPH in just three seconds. This performance comes with an available boost of 1,000 horsepower. Participants also explored various available Hummer EV pickup and SUV packages, including the Extreme Off-Road package, which features beadlock-capable wheels, reinforced skid plates, underbody cameras, rocker guards, and 35-inch mud tires.

While 30 veterans had the chance to drive a Hummer EV during this event, GMC's support for veterans goes beyond this special day. The automaker is committed to helping veterans through military discounts and veteran hiring programs.
