Have your eye on the shiny new 2017 Acadia? The redesigned crossover has a lot to offer Scottsdale drivers, including standout safety scores. Learn more below!

Your SUV holds your most precious cargo, which is why it’s important to choose one that offers the best protection possible. One of the most prestigious safety institutions in the business, the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), awarded the 2017 Acadia a “Top Safety Pick” designation* further demonstrating that it’s a great choice for Phoenix-area families.

“From square one, GMC engineers designed the 2017 Acadia to offer driver and passengers alike with ample protection in the case of a collision,” states a GMC press release. “[The Acadia] offers an expansive suite of standard and available safety features through its entire lineup, all designed to help keep occupants safe.”

Not only did the crossover perform well across all five crash tests—small overlap front, moderate overlap front, side, roof strength, and head restraints and seats—it also earned a “Superior” rating for its available frontal collision mitigation system. This system is available on select models, and adds an alert system with automatic emergency braking to help prevent or lessen the impact of frontal collisions.

The 2017 Acadia comes standard with eight airbags, antilock brakes, stability and traction control, and a rearview camera. All models are also equipped with GMC’S new Rear Seat Reminder function, which prompts drivers to check the backseat before exiting the vehicle.
