The rapid growth of the Small SUV segment is one that can’t be ignored and it turns out that the Buick Encore is one vehicle partially responsible for its acceleration. Since 2013, the Encore has sped up the segment’s growth by almost 30 percent and it continues to be a top choice for buyers in the market for a compact crossover across the U.S.
Did you know that one in four small SUV owners in the U.S. drives a Buick? It’s true. In fact, one quarter of small SUVs on the road today are Buicks. The Encore is the main car behind this trend – as of June 2016, it achieved 30 consecutive months of year-over-year sales growth. The U.S. market has been especially phenomenal to the Encore, making up more than half of the SUV’s sales.
According to Buick, the Encore is incredibly popular among women and professionals. Women represent 60 percent of Encore buyers. It’s also widely loved for its soft-touch interior materials and attractive features, which are being expanded on the incoming 2017 model.
