What's New For the 2020 GMC Canyon?

In 2020, the GMC Canyon primarily has some changes to its feature availability and packages. A remote-locking tailgate, once just an available offering, is now standard on the Canyon. This year's truck also gets a tire fill alert as a new standard safety feature. The Canyon's available safety packages have been modified as well to include more standard and available amenities. With these changes, the Canyon remains a top choice among consumers looking for a pickup truck with its #4 ranking.

The GMC Canyon is already known for its power base and available V6 engines and its generous towing capacity. Despite its standard pickup size, the Canyon also has exceptional maneuverability, steering, and handling. This year's Canyon belongs to the second Canyon generation that began in 2015. With multiple Canyon trims available and a variety of customization options, the 2020 GMC Canyon is even more appealing to consumers than Canyon models of the past.

What are the GMC Canyon Trims & Features?

The 2020 GMC Canyon is available in four trims, which are the SLE, SLT, All Terrain, and Denali. When properly equipped, the SLE and SLT have a towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. The All-Terrain and Denali have equal towing capacities of 7,600 pounds. As with many automakers, GMC equips each trim level with its own set of standard and available options. The SLE and SLT both get a tire fill alert and remote locking tailgate as standard features for the first time. Both get a power-operated driver's seat as well.

An HD backup camera and handy CornerStep back bumper are other notable standard amenities for both trims. Fortified brake rotors extend the brakes' longevity. Exclusively on the SLE, you'll find the option for an Elevation Edition. The All-Terrain comes with an impressive off-road suspension package. It also has eye-catching 17-inch metallic aluminum wheels. Many features are available on this trim, such as a Driver Alert safety package, a 4G WiFi hotspot, and a spray-on bed liner. The Denali adds to that list rear parking sensors, heated and ventilated leather seats, five-inch chrome assist steps, and stylish 20-inch aluminum wheels. The Denali also features a spray-on bed liner with a trim-specific logo.
