Specs at a Glance

The 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 continues to prove how luxurious a capable truck can be. This year, there are eight unique trim levels that drivers can consider. While our team loves them all, we would like to take this opportunity to focus on comparing the SLE and the Elevation.

Performance

The SLE and Elevation models of the 2022 Sierra 1500 are powered by a 2.7L turbocharged engine that can pump out 310-horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque. This engine pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Either of these trims can also swap that engine out for a 5.3L V8 pumping out 355-horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque or a 3.0L diesel that can make 277-horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. Choosing one of the alternative engines for the SLE or Elevation trim will mean getting a 10-speed automatic transmission.

Appearance

All models of the 2022 Sierra 1500 announce their arrival with their bold exterior appearance. The Elevation has a unique look that includes a monochromatic exterior and sleek 20-inch wheels. Inside, both trims show off an 8-inch center touchscreen.

Features

Some features can make life easier and more enjoyable in the Sierra 1500 SLE and the Sierra 1500 Elevation. The exciting Six-Function MulitPro Tailgate is standard for both of these models. A variety of luxury features can be found in both of these models, including a leather-wrapped steering wheel and keyless ignition.
