What Are the 2026 Encore GX Trims & Features?
You can choose from three Encore GX trims: Preferred, Sport Touring, and Avenir. The entry-level Preferred trim comes well equipped with remote start, satellite radio, and an 11.0-inch HD color touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto®.
The Sport Touring trim adds 18-inch black aluminum wheels and black exterior accents for a sportier look. Inside, it features a flat-bottom steering wheel and leatherette seats.
The top-of-the-line Avenir trim comes with unique 19-inch wheels and LED clear lens taillamps. It also includes heated front seats, perforated leather upholstery, and dual-zone automatic climate control.
How Much Horsepower Does the 2026 Encore GX Have?
The Encore GX offers two engine options. The standard 1.2-liter ECOTEC turbo makes 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque. You can also choose a 1.3-liter ECOTEC turbo with 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive models use a CVT, while all-wheel drive versions come with a nine-speed automatic transmission.
What Safety Features Does the 2026 Encore GX Include?
Every Encore GX includes standard safety features such as Lane Change Alert, Following Distance Indicator, Front Pedestrian Braking, and an HD Rear Vision camera. The Teen Driver system also comes standard to help parents encourage safe driving habits.
