General Motors has chosen to make some improvements to their infotainment systems recently. A lot of technology is included in these vehicles, including the new GM Marketplace feature, which provides the ability to make dinner reservations, pay for gas, and buy food without having to leave your vehicle. Buick has even partnered with media company Hello Sunshine to incorporate podcasts and books into their infotainment system. The first vehicle to receive this feature was the Buick Encore GX, and other models have followed as part of the 2021 model year.

Reese Witherspoon’s “Reese’s Book Club” is included in the Buick infotainment experience, providing access to many different audiobooks and podcasts. This decision was made after Buick determined that almost 55 percent of their clientele is made up of women, and they felt “Reese’s Book Club” was the perfect complement to Buick’s designs. On Instagram, the book club has 1.7 million followers to date.

The books that Witherspoon features as part of her book club are often New York Times bestsellers. It’s predicted that this feature may start to creep into the lineups for GMC, Cadillac, and Chevrolet to provide a sense of community to the women consumers that Buick and Van Buick GMC are proud to serve.
