One of the largest and best-attended sporting events of the year returns to Scottsdale for another season, bringing some of the biggest names in golf and music to the Phoenix area. Nicknamed “The Greatest Show on Grass,” the Waste Management Phoenix Open golf tournament kicks off on Monday, Jan. 30. Find out how you can partake in the fun below!
Whether you are a dedicated golf fan or you enjoy the lively atmosphere of this huge event, the most popular stop on the PGA Tour is buzzing with things to do. First and foremost is watching the golf tournament. If you are coming to see specific players, you can watch the tournament “cross-country style” and move around the course as they play each hole. You can also spectate “parade style” by sticking to one spot. For the liveliest experience, be sure to check out the iconic 16th hole.
Interested in getting an autograph from J.B. Holmes, Matt Kuchar or one of the other many golfers playing? Visiting players in the practice area after they have completed their round is the best way to get your memorabilia signed.
After the sun goes down and the tournament comes to a close, the Coors Light Bird’s Nest lights up, offering a series of exclusive concerts to attend for the 21 and over crowd. It’s a great way to end the day with a bang in what is referred to as “the hottest nightclub in Scottsdale.” Be sure to buy your tickets before they sell out to see artists like Kascade and Flo Rida or Blink 182 and Steve Aoki take the stage.
