Buick has decided to reignite their performance roots and recently showed off their brand-new 2+2 coupe, the Avista Concept, to give auto enthusiasts a glimpse into their potential future design plans. The car, which is said to embody “the dynamic soul of Buick,” pays tribute to the brand’s early vehicles that delivered exceptional performance in an elegant package.

Designed to resemble the “perfect drive,” the Buick Avista Concept features long, sleek body lines that make the vehicle appear to be in motion. The concept also features wing-shaped headlights, a mesh grille with the brand’s signature winged tri-shield emblem, chrome-accented fender vents and 20-inch aluminum wheels with color accents that complement the model’s Dark Sapphire Jewel paint color. Additionally, the Avista Concept touts a 110.7-inch wheelbase, which is similar to other high-performance models currently on the market.
Inside the vehicle, you’ll find the same flowing lines featured on the exterior, along with 3D-printed door and seat trim, Mist Gray leather seat inserts, carbon fiber and aluminum accents, and faded patterns on select components inside the car that were inspired by receding waves on the beach. Aside from these materials, storage compartments, Buick’s IntelliLink system with touchscreen controls, Electronic Precision Shift and air purifiers designed to improve the sensory experience for passengers are located within the vehicle.
Found underneath the hood of the Avista Concept is a twin-turbo 3.0L V6 engine that comes equipped with Stop/Start and Active Fuel Management, which helps preserve fuel. The powerplant is also paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission, supporting its performance offerings. Exclusively labeled a concept model, Buick does not have any current plans to produce the Avista Concept.
