While already popular due to its comfortable, well-built interior and heavy-duty performance capabilities, that didn’t keep GMC from further enhancing the award-winning Sierra HD truck. Several updates have been made to the 2016 version of the pickup, including the addition of available Active Steering Assist power steering and a new Gooseneck/5th Wheel Trailering Prep Package. The former gives Sierra greater stability and more confident performance when towing and hauling, while the latter is an excellent option for anyone who needs to tow bigger trailers.
Also this year, the 2016 Sierra HD offers the most current IntelliLink infotainment system, which comes with a 7-inch-diagonal touchscreen that features new HD radio, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration, and a faster processor. There’s also a version with an 8-inch-diagonal screen, as well. In addition, GMC has made HID projector-beam headlamps with LED lights standard on every single model of the truck and more stand-alone options - including a remote locking tailgate and wireless phone charging - are now available to shoppers.
