    Check out this 2019!

It just arrived on our lot this past week! Turbocharger technology provides forced air induction, enhancing performance while preserving fuel economy. This 4 door, 5 passenger coupe just recently passed the 60,000 mile mark! All of the premium features expected of a Mercedes-Benz are offered, including: power front seats, an overhead console, and a split folding rear seat. Mercedes-Benz made sure to keep road-handling and sportiness at the top of it's priority list. Smooth gearshifts are achieved thanks to the efficient 4 cylinder engine, and for added security, dynamic Stability Control supplements the drivetrain.

I may be the exception as I really like it in spite of things I don’t like. It’s not all that comfortable. It’s not that quiet. It’s not all that exciting in the acceleration department. It doesn’t have much leg room and the back seat is for toddlers only. But with the AMG package it looks great. It’s very agile and very dependable. It has above average gas mileage and the ergonomics are well above average. It is fun to drive but long trips can play havoc on the back and butt. It’s very easy to drive and doesn’t feel like a bargain Benz.

The central problem with this CLA250 from 2014 is its stalling problem. After about 35,000 miles, it appears the crank angle sensor goes bad, and the car stumbles along until it stalls. Sometimes it does not restart. I was on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in July of 2020 when my CLA250 stalled in the left lane of the highway. I contacted police, and as a cruiser was approaching, a man in a white van rammed into my car destroying it. I could have died although not from the impact of the van. The CLA250 was very sturdy. Only the trunk was punched in totaling the car. I read how Mercedes Benz responded to other peoples' narratives about their cars stalling, and the response was disrespectful. The company accused the owners of stalling their cars, and NHTSA never stepped in to check out the CLA250. Stay away from this car as it may fail on its owner placing its owner into great danger. I envy my father's 190E from 1992 that never, ever stalls. They don't don't make them like they used to. Be warned.

This car is so far from one of the best cars weve owned. The seats are incredibly uncomfortable for trips longer than an hour. Why are the seats so uncomfortable? The back seat is incredibly uncomfortable. Visibility leaves something to be desired. The automatic engine shut off drives me nuts because the car jumps when it turns back on so I have to remember to turn that feature off every time I get into the car. Even with the sun roof closed, it still gets really hot inside the car. Overall, Im not impressed with this car. Mercedes service departments did not offer loaner cars in our area. Our other luxury car brands dealership will hand us a loaner for oil changes. Personally, I dont feel like we got our moneys worth in this car and Im not shocked (but I am annoyed) at the resale value. We will never own another Mercedes.
