2020 GMC Savana

What's New For the 2020 GMC Savana?

The 2020 Savana doesn't have a considerable number of upgrades when compared to the previous model. There has been an improvement to the transmission system, though. When you get a model that uses the 2.8-liter diesel engine, you'll have an eight-speed automatic transmission instead of the more outdated six-speed transmission. That helps to improve your overall fuel economy and acceleration.

Which Trims & Features are Available in 2020?

There are several different trim levels and features for the 2020 Savana. First, you'll need to decide whether you're purchasing a 2500 or 3500 model. The 3500 has a higher payload than the 2500 trim, but otherwise boasts the same trim levels and features.

The standard trim level for the Savana is the Work Van trim. This comes with a 4.3-liter V-6 engine that uses gasoline. You also get an eight-speed automatic transmission, rear-wheel-drive, and ten exterior colors.

The LS trim has many of the same specs, but it has significantly more seats available. The same is true for the LT trim, which is one step above the LS. You can also choose whether to get a van that has a regular or extended wheelbase.

Several exterior features increase both comfort and convenience. The base model comes equipped with a swing-out passenger side door that's easy to maneuver. There's also an available sliding side cargo door, and available deep-tinted solar ray glass.

There are also assist steps available for the work van, and many available accessories to help customize the experience.

On the inside, the van is equipped with high-back bucket seats, a rubberized vinyl floor covering, and tie-downs for the cargo. There's also an available sprayed-in cargo liner and the option for a leather-wrapped steering wheel.

A number of technology features are also available, should you want them. You can get an Onstar theft alarm notification installed, as well as vehicle insights. There's also the option to create a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot in the vehicle and to use an accompanying GMC app to keep track of vehicle maintenance.

A Perfect Blend of Power and Fuel Efficiency

There are four engine options for the 2020 Savana, each of which has a five-year warranty.

The base trim option has a 4.3-liter V-6 engine that has an 8-speed automatic transmission. It maxes out at 276 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque.

There's a 6.0-liter Vortec V-8 engine available, which has 341 horsepower and 373 lb-feet of torque. An engine with similar horsepower is a 6.0-liter V-8 Gaseous engine, which also has CNG and LPG capabilities.

You can also get a 2.8-liter turbo diesel engine, which has 181 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque.

Safety Features in the Forefront for 2020

There are several safety technologies built into the vehicle, with more available. The front of the vehicle has airbags, and you can choose to get additional ones equipped to the side. There's also a rear vision camera installed in all trims. Should you want them, you can get rear parking assistance technology and a blind-spot alert system.
