Buick Dealership in Phoenix Reviews the 2014 Regal

After a seven-year hiatus in production, the Buick Regal was reborn in 2011 and has since discovered new life with its GS counterpart, pushing its way back into the minds of car enthusiasts around the world. Evolving to keep up with today's modern trends, the Regal has received a refresh for the 2014 edition, infusing the GS' power into the standard Regal. Combined with the inclusion of all-wheel drive, the Regal's capabilities have reached new heights.

The engine behind the spectacle is the all-new 2.0L turbo four-cylinder. Producing 259 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, the enhanced power option demolishes its previous engine, which delivered 220 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque. This brings the Regal base model to the same level as the GS. However, the GS still outshines the standard Regal in acceleration, speeding from 0-60 mph in 6.2 seconds, while the latter reaches 60 mph in 6.5 seconds.

Ditching its manual transmission, the 2014 Regal comes equipped with a six-speed automatic transmission, along with an all-wheel-drive option. The new system adds additional traction and stability control, unavailable in four-wheel-drive models. Using advanced technology, it allows for equal torque distribution between the front and back tires, and also complements Sport and GS driving modes for optimal performance.

Much-like the Buick LaCrosse, the Regal was in need of a few upgrades to its exterior and interior design, and each was matter was attended to. The Regal received a slightly larger grille, and LED taillamps connected by a chrome band. Inside, the center console's buttons were reduced in number and rearranged according to function, a notable change praised by 2014 Buick Regal reviews. Topping off the interior modifications, the IntelliLink infotainment system now sits in the center console and is available through a touchscreen display, providing easy access to entertainment and navigation.
