2019 Buick Terrain and Acadia Black Edition

2019 GMC models are adding some mystery to the lineup. These black editions make the look of the Terrain and Acadia sleeker and more refined. It’s like getting a customized look straight from the factory. Shoppers who want a more distinctive look for their new SUV will appreciate this new option.

What's New for the Acadia and Terrain Black Edition?

The black editions come in unique colors that aren’t available on all GMC SUV editions. For the Terrain, this means a new Sedona metallic as well as other metallics in graphite gray, satin steel, and ebony twilight. The Acadia comes in Ebony Twilight Metallic as well, but its different colors are Dark Sky Metallic, Smokey Quartz metallic, and a White Frost Tricoat. A Summit White exterior choice is available with either model.

With this particular package, the Terrain wears 19-inch glossy black wheels. The Acadia picks up 20-inch black-accented wheels. Both wear a black grille surround and a darkened grille insert. Roof rails and mirror caps provide another black accent on both SUVs. Terrain badges have black features. On the Acadia, GMC adds a black accent to the headlights and taillights

How Do I Choose Between These Models?

To choose which SUV is right for your black edition, consider the size. A Terrain offers spacious accommodations for five. The Acadia offers accommodations for five, six or seven. Another consideration may be the trim level. You can get either the SLE or SLT trim for the Terrain black edition while the Acadia black edition is limited to the SLT trim. Active noise cancellation and advanced suspensions add to the premium nature of these SUVs.

Both SUVs are interested in hauling cargo, too. 2019 Terrains have Fold-Flat front passenger seat as well as folding rear seats, which provides ample space for cargo. The Acadia has folding second- and third-row seats for big and bigger payloads. On five-person Acadias, the cargo management system also includes cover storage bins and a sub-floor compartment. The Acadia SLT has a power-operated liftgate.

SLT models of either SUV have leather-trimmed seats. Other favorite features include a dual-zone automatic climate control system, extra USB ports, and a 4.2-inch multi-color driver information center. Stepping back to the Terrain SLE Black Edition, you still get a seven-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. OnStar offers 4G LTE Wi-Fi.

SLT Black Editions offer many crash avoidance features. A blind zone monitor, lane change assist, rear cross traffic alert, and lane keep can keep the GMC SUV from side traffic collisions. Forward automatic braking can reduce the chances of hitting another car or a pedestrian.
