Celebrate the holidays the Southwestern way at the Desert Botanical Garden! From now until Dec. 31, 2016, the garden basks in the warm glow of over 8,000 hand-lit luminaria bags while peaceful melodies played by various entertainment ensembles fill the airspace. Read more about this enchanting event below.

Decorating with luminarias is a uniquely Southwestern tradition—in some respects, they are the desert version of holiday lights. Whether you’ve seen a luminaria display before or you have yet to experience the magic, attending Las Noches de las Luminaria is a great way to get in the holiday spirit while enjoying the beauty of the garden at night.

From 5:30-9:30 p.m. on select dates, the garden turns into a desert spotlight. During Las Noches, the Patio Café, Gertrude’s restaurant and the seasonal wine store will be open. Savor a cup of cider or cocoa or a glass of wine while exploring the sights and sounds, or have a romantic date night at Gertrude’s—there are many ways to enjoy Las Noches de las Luminaria.

Attendees will also enjoy a variety of live entertainment each evening. Simply Three, Mariachi Pasión, the Salt River Brass Quintet and Desert Bells International are just a few of the ensembles that will be playing at various locations in the garden.
