Just in time for the season of giving, GMC has partnered up with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation to help raise money and awareness for the nonprofit’s Building for America’s Bravest program. This special initiative was created to raise funds for designing and building “smart homes” for severely injured veterans.

This past Veterans Day, Nov. 11, GMC reached out to its dealerships, employees and social media followers asking them to upload images of themselves making the word “house” in sign language. Participants were encouraged to challenge others to post photos as well and to make donations to Tunnel to Towers.

Even if you missed the social media campaign, it’s not too late to help support the cause. Funds are needed to help construct smart homes for deserving veterans and contributions are always being accepted online.

All smart homes are built to suit the individual needs of each veteran, offering easy accessibility and adaptive technology to help recipients lead more independent lives. The waiting list is long, however, and part of that has to do with funding.

If you want to make a difference in the life of a hero, join GMC in supporting the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s Building for America’s Bravest program today.
