One of the Valley's best and brightest holiday events is stunning crowds at the Desert Botanical Garden. Presented by The Arizona Republic, Las Noches de las Luminarias features thousands of hand-lit luminaria bags, twinkling Christmas lights and lively entertainment from 10 different groups every night of the event. Acts like Mariachi Pasión, Dickens Carolers, The Sugar Thieves, Will Clipman, Arizona Folk Ensemble and Red Mountain Ringers will perform at various locations throughout the facility, including the Ullman Terrace, Pratt Ramada and Webster Auditorium.

Overall, the affair offers a wonderful way to celebrate the holidays in our unique southwest environment. Along with festive lights, music and other activities, Gertrude's restaurant and The Patio Café will be open for diners each night of Las Noches de las Luminarias. Beverages will also be available for purchase, including wine, cider and cocoa, which you can enjoy while strolling through the beautifully lit pathways of the Garden. In memory or honor of a loved one, guests may also sponsor a luminaria bag; contact the Garden for details about sponsorship.

The event will take place over the next two few weeks, Dec. 19-23 and Dec. 26-30, 2014, from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. nightly. General admission is $30 for adults and $12.50 for children 3 to 12 years old. Children under the age of three can enter for free. Discounts apply for Garden members and groups of 25 or more. The Desert Botanical Garden is located at 1201 N. Galvin Parkway in Phoenix, Arizona.
